About TutorNetwork
What we do
Finding a tutor can be overwhelming. Families searching online are met with hundreds of listings, unverified profiles, and unclear pricing. TutorNetwork cuts through that by offering a single, straightforward step: tell us what you need and we introduce you to one matched, vetted UK tutoring company or agency.
We are an introducer, not a tutoring provider. We do not supply tutors, hold client money, or take a cut of lesson fees. Parents pay the tutor's normal rate directly to the provider — there are no placement fees from us for using the introduction service.
How introductions work
You submit an enquiry describing the learner's needs (subject, level, availability, location). We assess the brief and introduce you to one matched provider from our named partner list — a finite, versioned list of UK tutoring companies and agencies (incorporated entities). We do not share your details with multiple providers or resell your enquiry.
Once the introduction is made, the provider contacts you to discuss your needs. Any lessons, pricing, and scheduling are agreed directly between you and the provider. We are not a party to that arrangement.
Vetting standards
We only work with incorporated entities (UK limited companies or LLPs) — not individual tutors or sole traders. Partners on our named list are required to verify that tutors working with under-18s hold a current Enhanced DBS disclosure before they begin any such work.
We recommend that you also carry out your own checks, including asking the provider for evidence of DBS clearance, references, and any relevant qualifications before lessons begin. We do not independently verify individual tutors' credentials on your behalf.

Who's behind TutorNetwork
TutorNetwork was built by Daniel Pearson — an engineer who spent evenings and weekends teaching maths online, more than 800 hours of it, from nervous Year 5s facing the 11+ to sixth-formers wrestling with calculus. The idea came from the other side of those lessons: parents kept describing the same slog of directories, profiles and guesswork before they found him. TutorNetwork exists to replace that slog with one careful match. Daniel holds an MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield and works as a product design engineer; the maths pages on this site — and the maths-heavy physics pages — carry his byline once he has personally reviewed them.
